Burnout is affecting 66% of workers, Learn the signs and simple ways to reclaim your weekends, restore energy, and reconnect with work that fits you.
If you’re feeling exhausted before Monday even hits… you’re not alone.
66% of American employees are experiencing some form of burnout. (source: Moodle).
That’s not a small number—it’s a wake-up call.
So let me ask: Are you really enjoying your weekends, or just recovering from the week?
The World Health Organization defines burnout as a syndrome caused by chronic workplace stress that hasn’t been successfully managed.
It shows up in sneaky, draining ways:
• Constant fatigue
• Dread around work
• Trouble sleeping or relaxing
• Detachment and apathy
• Anxiety or even hopelessness
Sound familiar?
The good news: You can break the cycle.
Start small. Burnout recovery doesn’t have to mean a sabbatical (though wouldn’t that be nice?). Try these:
Physical self-care — move your body, prioritize sleep, fuel yourself well
Mental self-care — talk to someone, set boundaries, say “no” more often
Reflective self-care — journal, meditate, practice gratitude
Sometimes, it’s not just about self-care—it’s about support.
As a career coach, I help burned-out professionals reconnect with their purpose, build boundaries, and find work that works for them—not the other way around.
If burnout is whispering (or screaming) at you lately… let’s talk.
