Long time ago, I had a dog. We spent our summers in a place that was overrun by rabbits. Lassie (the dog) would chase one rabbit and, before you knew it, she would be distracted and start chasing a different one. Needless to say, she never caught a single rabbit.
You might ask – “what does this have to do with business?” – but then you might think about yesterday at work.
If you are like most of us, you were “putting out fires” but, before you could really make changes to avoid having the same fire again (and again), you were distracted by another fire that urgently needed to be put out and you were off taking care of the latest one.
