For What Moment Do You Exist?

What if you understood your true purpose? What if your daughter understood hers?
As I watched the movie Amistad, one of the main characters, captured African Cinque, made a most profound statement. While he explained that neither he nor his legal team would stand alone before the Supreme Court because he would call forth his ancestors to help them, he poignantly stated for at that moment he was the whole reason his ancestors existed at all.
For what moment does your child exist? For what moment was your child created? Is it the moment someone’s life is saved because of their one act? Is it that moment when they inspire someone to do great things? Is it that one moment when they change the tide? Is it for that moment when they set the world on fire?
Many of our children, in particular our young girls, will never know for which moment they exist. They will not know because they do not understand that they were created with a purpose. Some do not have the foundation to know that they are worthy far above rubies or anything this world has to offer.
As I do, I know you want every little girl to live for the moment for which they were created. This is why I wrote God Says I’m Beautiful. Before she can know for which moment she exists, she must know that she has purpose. How beautiful you are…. Important you are…. God’s love for you goes far…far… far….
