How to Navigate Change

Posted on May 15, 2013 by Billie Crutcher, One of Thousands of Life Coaches on Noomii.

Change is always happening yet we try to remain the same. Learn how to move through these situations with success and less stress.

Change is forever happening however we are constantly trying to remain the same. I often laugh at this idea as I tell people, “Nothing really stays the same except maybe a rock and that all depends on where is has chosen to lie.” Even in this picture a rock has no guarantee that it won’t change, the elements, its environment and even man have the ability to change what the rock will eventually become.

As human beings it would be best for us to accept that change is inevitable and learn more positive ways to navigate change even when it is not welcome. Change will always happen for us as long as we are in this form, this is how we grow, thrive and achieve success by changing.

You don’t have to give up your value system during change. Even our values grow and change as we gain new levels of wisdom and understanding. Why do we fight it so hard? It’s almost laughable if it wasn’t so sad. So many people are left behind and miss the mark because they resist the change.

One thing I know for sure about change is that it is always happening and it’s up to us to decide how we will handle change. Help is always near and ever present we just have to make conscious decisions to seek the help when needed. Give up this idea that you must do it alone, the Lone Ranger was a movie character and he even had his trusted sidekick Tonto there to help him along the way.

Life can be difficult yet with support you can get through. With the proper support you can begin to navigate your changes with success.

Keep it positive and keep it moving forward.
