You are your best friend! But how often have you met yourself? Never? No surprise! Meet yourself today! Use your heart as a mirror through Meditation.
Mind is almost always in a bored state. And that’s why it needs company of someone or something all the time. Be it a magazine, T.V., book, a person, a mobile phone and so on; anything would do but it wants some company of some sort so that it has something to do, otherwise it gets bored!
The reason for such a habit of mind is that we have not let it taste and relish the company of our own self. It doesn’t know the bliss that is there in being alone! It knows everyone else in this world except our own self. One becomes an alien to his/her own self!
Infact only by being alone when we meet and know ourselves and get filled up with bliss and joy inside could we enjoy the other person’s company. Otherwise both simply keep passing on their respective boredoms to each other and sucking each other’s energy just like it happens in a marriage!
The problem is not in the company of others but the problem is in the dependence on, and need for, someone or something other than us for keeping us going on in life. This craving is not desirable because it is so enslaving! We need to know ourselves and be self sufficient first.
We can’t feel or enjoy love of others unless we first feel and enjoy our own being. And that’s a law!
