the extra push

Is it because I am an introvert by heart? But sometimes I feel that need for an extra push . . . that affirmation, that pat on the back, that validation. There are a thousand decisions everyday. Some are simply automatic. Some take a slight pause. Some take multiple mind-revisions. And some are just put off for another day . . . they seem like they are weighted with too much or too many steps.

Anyway, sometime life is simpler when you just talk it over. As a coach, I hear those kinds of hesitations, and lots of resolve. I hear the wondering, the doubting and the maybe-I-could-delay this.

I spent some time with a friend this morning just rolling off a million ideas in 45 minutes. And in that very experience I decided some things as I was saying them. And other ideas were at least said and now percolating. Like fine coffee, percolating away. We both probably had our cups in had as we grazed and graced over those decisions.

I felt like the day was a pushover after that. I could continue my projects with less worry, and be light.
