Money Mindset Doesn't Work

“Money mindset,” you say. “Right. I have rent due tomorrow and a list of TODOs a mile long. What good is thinking about money going to do for me?”

I understand. It’s tough to deal with the demands of the world around us when our thinking is in the shitter.

“Wait, what?!”

That’s right, take a look at those thoughts. How do they make you feel? Probably pretty desperate, and maybe a little hyper-ventilate-y. How well can you take care of yourself when your thoughts keep putting you down?

Try to turn them around. What thoughts would make you {feel good} about yourself? So much so that you feel energized to get off the couch and go do something. You never know, your thoughts may turn to asking for a miracle with your landlord, and the universe and your landlord may come through. You just never know.

And with that TODO list – try prioritizing the true, money-making actions to come first, then breaking those rainmakers down into small, bite sized (even pea-sized!) steps. Do only what’s in front of you because right now (the present) is all you have anyway, and you’re looking pretty damn good right now.
