We are what We believe

Life Coaching tip discussing Beliefs and Action. Being Self Aware and in tune with who you are with your beliefs leads to your decisions in life.

Our life experiences and observations lead us to our belief system. From there, we begin to take action from decisions we make based on our beliefs.

We do this over and over again each day, usually unconsciously, because we have established a comfortable and safe pattern of behavior. Everything fits neatly into a box—whether it be career choices, relationship actions, financial decisions, spiritual or well-being behaviors and even overall health.

What happens when we suddenly have a need to change something in our lives? It can become unfamiliar, uneasy or scary.

This is because our want or need for change contradicts our actions that we have created based on the cyclical beliefs we have formed. Our actions based on beliefs have been in line for so long that we have cornered ourselves so to speak. We become stuck.

HOW DO YOU CHANGE?

Looking for a change? Take time to look at your current beliefs. What are they?

1. MAKE A LIST.
Be specific.
When did this belief start?
How did this belief lead you to the actions you take based on this belief?
2. NOW MAKE A NEW LIST OF BELIEFS.
Change your perception of the old belief into the new positive belief.
Still feeling unsure?
Take a minute and think about someone who already believes this.
What would they do or what actions would they take based on this belief?
3. TAKE ACTION.
