Employee Engagement is a huge issue in America today. Motivating Employees to a new corporate understanding includes lessons from the past.
At a recent international conference where I was hired to motivate and engage a wonderful crowd of top financial experts I made it a point to make sure they understood their corporate roots.It was apparent as I spoke that this crowd had not ever truly discovered how important their beginnings were. This particular company had the distinction of the invention of the “jackhammer” and their early drill equipment was used in the creation of the Panama Canal and Mount Rushmore just to name a few accomplishments.Now Ingersoll Rand is one of the biggest companies based internationally out of greater Charlotte/Davidson . When an employee understands how their company began and the challenges that were overcome that helped to provide the foundation of their current worldwide success they feel more a part of the mission. It’s always exciting and rewarding as a motivational speaker and career coach to see the smiles and excitement as employees become more connected and engaged. Business profits more from engaged employees and we as dedicated workers have less stress ,more security and renewed career passion as we connect with our company.
