We all need models for inspiration in our quest...here is a resource.
Have you been dreaming of writing a book? What about starting a business, or taking a year off to hike El Camino Santiago? Many of us have dreams that are so big and scary to us, we just dream about them. And of course there are barriers. You are too old to try something new. You don’t have the resources to follow this dream. Who are you to think you can do this?
Huffington Post has launched a series called 15 Women over 50 that will chronicle 15 women who are taking the plunge and pursuing those big scary, out of the norm dreams. These women are varied. One woman is living a life on a sail boat, another is venturing into the world of online dating, yet another is moving and starting a new career after the death of a husband. Each of these women has obstacles to overcome, a quadriplegic son to coordinate and finance care for, the grief process of a love one lost, etc. What matters is the content and courage in these stories we can see over the coming year.
I invite you to read these stories and follow them along (I will!). Get the inspiration you need to take the plunge into your dream life. As one of these 15 women said ," After all this, my attitude is that I can do anything. There’s nothing that can come at me that I won’t embrace."
