MANAGE YOUR TIME MORE EFFECTIVELY AND EFFICIENTLY

Do you manage your time wisely or does time manage you? Here are a few solutions on how to manage your time effectively and efficiently.

Do you ever start one task, become distracted and then start something else? Do you often feel pulled in several directions at once? If your mind is racing and you are constantly going from one task to another, then you need to manage your time more effectively and efficiently.

We are often overwhelmed when we try to accomplish too many tasks at the same time. You can avoid feeling rushed, short on time and discontent if you learn to manage your time effectively and efficiently. Here are some key solutions for managing your time more wisely.

Key solutions for managing you time more effectively and efficiently

1. Use a calendar – keep your priorities straight by writing down tasks on a calendar. You will be able to keep track of what days and times are blocked off for specific tasks, which will keep you on point.

2. Determine your routine – when you establish a daily routine, you can become more efficient at managing your day. For example, you can determine what days you will do laundry, grocery shop, and/or clean house. Schedule your routine on a calendar as well.

3. Stay focused – choose your priorities and stay focused. When you are engaged with one task at a time, you can reduce stress and enhance the quality of your work.

4. Teamwork – collaborate with others as a team. You can accomplish more and focus on your highest priorities if you work as a team. Delegate small tasks or one big task when or if possible.

5. Allow yourself to rest – when you are always busy it’s hard to rest. Learn how to rest, sleep more and/or give yourself time to do what you enjoy.

6. Turn off distractions – Are you always on your phone, computer, and/or tablet? Set aside time each day when you are not connected to your electronics or other distractions. Try turning off your devices two hours before going to bed. How can you relax if your mind is always stimulated?

Remember to create more balance in your life. If you learn to use your time more effectively and efficiently, you will be more productive. There will always be daily tasks and challenges to face. Set aside time during the day to relax. When you are kind to yourself, you can stay focused and be proficient at completing all of your tasks.
