Small Business Owners in the Fight of their Lives

Small business owners are fighting for their lives.

They thought they were stepping into a world of calling their own shots, creating viable solutions and providing a benefit to the community, but in many cases, that is not how the story is actually being written. Today’s entrepreneurs are not only living paycheck to paycheck, in many cases they are actually paying the bills out of their family budget. Additionally they are swamped with bureaucratic red tape and ordinances as they come into the realization that the government is not necessarily excited that they are on the playing field. Increasing their revenues could open up so many options – they just do not know where to turn.

The Definition of Insanity? Completing the same action and expecting a different result.

Another way to say this – if you want to be rescued, you have to look at NEW solutions, not just a re-mix of the old. Modern day small business owners are actually sitting in the best seat in the house. They are large enough to make a difference in some community and small enough to be versatile. Versatility is key because it makes allowances for tweaking – for operating on a short leash and shifting gears when necessary. Small business owners are frustrated because they have so many BIG visions and yet are confronted with so very LITTLE money.

The smart solution is to learn to focus on revenue producing activities and to stop majoring on the minors.
