Improve Productivity

Posted on June 20, 2016 by Dan Ludwick, One of Thousands of Life Coaches on Noomii.

Tips on improving productivity when you have too much information or need help getting more work done.

Increase Information Productivity

If you are like me and like to learn a lot about a lot of different topics it can be overwhelming with the amount of material you learn each day.

When you have a lot of good information, remember what is current to you at your current stage of life, and whatever is not current to you, write down the information that you may use one day in a folder whether in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Evernote or even with a pen and paper in a journal.

This way you can always refer back to the information when you are ready for it, but you won’t get bogged down with remembering so much information.

The first day of every month review all your notes and find what is current to you at this time in your development and edit your notes.

You can also take 10 minutes every day or 30 minutes every week to organize and review your notes that are currently applicable to you.

Increase Working Productivity

When you have a lot of tasks to do or have a lot of topics that you would like to learn, take 30 minutes each for different activities.

This way you will at least get a little bit of everything done versus spending 2 hours on one subject and forgetting about or not having enough time for another.

As an example, limit 30 minutes for YouTube, email, reading a book, listening to audios, exercising, or whatever you like to do so you can get a lot of different subjects accomplished.

If you need more time on another daily activity you can always go back to it, but assuring that you will get some time in for everything first is most productive.

Make sure before you start your day or even better the day before, prioritize by making a list of what you want and need to get done first and in order.
