God vs. the Law of Attraction?

Does God fit in with the teachings of "The Secret" and The Law of Attraction?
In the beginning of my journey, I read everything there was to read on the Law of Attraction. I watched The Secret and bought the book and gave several copies to my friends and family. I read everything by Esther Hicks, Deepak Chopra and Wayne Dyer and many others. I was all about “if you can believe, you can achieve it!”
“Woohoo! I can have anything I want just by imagining that I already have it?” “I can pray to the Universe and it will give me all these cool gifts?”
“I can get money, a mansion and a new Mercedes Benz too!”
But then, of course, frustration creeps in as you feel the failure of your hopes and wishes not coming true. My “wisher” bone was broken and I needed help fixing it.
I began to wonder why praying to “the Universe” would trump praying to the GOD who created the universe in the first place! Why worship the creation and not the Maker? That is seemingly what the Law of Attraction failed to teach. There is so much scripture that supports the belief that we are creators of our own reality but none of the teaching on the Law of Attraction and Manifestation taught this at all.
It was honestly at the point when my faith was tested that it became even stronger. I prayed. A lot. I read scriptures. I began to understand who God Is and will always be. I began to understand how the Universe works and how the Law of Attraction is the law of the Universe.
As human beings, our will is weak. That is how we are designed. We think we can do all of these things but we really can’t. But, we can know what God’s Will is for us. And when we understand his Will, we can better understand how to utilize the Law of Attraction in our lives.
