Tips to a happier morning

Do you hit the snooze button six to seven thousand times every morning? then this is for you!

Ayyyyyye ActionMF here with FOUR tips to help you and these other fine folks get your days started better! It’s no secret that people have this abusive relationship with their snooze buttons, so let’s see what we can do to ease the pain of waking up and getting at all that greatness the day has in store for ya!

1) Twas the night before…

If you know you have to get up early it might not be the best idea to spend extra hours seeing what your friends are up to on Facebook or scrolling your Instagram feed. Put your phone down and go to bed! All that nonsense that doesn’t have anything to do with your success will be there to further distract you tomorrow.

2) Fetch

One of the hardest parts about getting up in the morning is actually getting out of bed! Easy fix: plug your phone in far away from your bed so you have no choice but to get out of bed to turn your alarm off! This has the added benefit of discouraging any late night social media scrolling. No matter how popular you are I think we can agree checking your notifications isn’t worth getting out of your warm bed!

3) Wake up LIT

This is probably my favorite tip. Set your morning alarm with a song you know will get you amped to start your day. You want something that just sets you off when you hear it, so when you get up to turn the alarm off the music will start to hit you and you’ll start jamming. If you chose a song that doesn’t make you want to dance when you hear it you need to choose a better song!

4) Prep for inclement weather

Addressing the issue of having to abandon your warm bed for the cold breath of the morning again, make sure you’re ready for the climate change! Keep some sweats right next to your bed so you can get out of the covers and hop right into the comfort of your oversized clothes.

By the way, if you have a significant other and are getting lucky before you get out of bed you might not need any of these tips!

And there ya have it! Throw those in to your morning routine to start your day on a GREAT note! Have a great one and remember to smile!
