Trust Your Inner Knowing

Do you find yourself, at times, wanting to be right? Does it cause friction in your relationships? Here are tips to detach from being right.
If you’re like me, you may at times, feel the need to prove your right or make a point to go on about your views. We all have done that from time to time. Yet, I’d like to challenge you to align with that supreme, all-knowing within you. Deep within all of us is that primal deep sense of the truth. It can be hard to accept that we have this within us, because often we may attach to thoughts, feelings, external things, roles we play, etc. But, who we are is not at all any of those things or roles. We are a spirit that knows no bounds. In the 56th verse of the Tao Te Ching, Lao Tsu says,
One who knows this secret,
Is not moved by attachment or aversion,
Swayed by profit or loss,
Nor touched by honor or disgrace.
He is far beyond the cares of men,
Yet comes to hold the dearest place in their hearts.
This, therefore, is the highest state of man (woman).
Replace the need to be “right” by viewing the need to seek approval as unnecessary. The people who care the least about gaining approval, gain the most peace and respect with themselves and others. I challenge you to not only change your need to be “right”, but to listen to the other persona nd yourself with compassion. See what happens in yourself and with others when you act this way.
Namaste,
