With the new year rapidly approaching there is no doubt that many of us have 2009 on our mind. And along with the new year comes new years resolutions. You know, those powerful promises we all make to our self but never keep. Here is a powerful tip to make your new years resolution really stick this year.
The difference between resolutions that become a reality and ones that don’t lies in one simple word, desire! We tend to create our resolutions based on things we think we “should” do. For example; people say " I should lose weight." " I should change my diet." " I should start an exercise program." The problem here is that " should" is not a strong enough emotion to make things happen.
To make your new years resolution come true you must shift your thinking from " should " to " must ". Think about it, when you absolutely must do something, you do it no questions asked. When you must do something you are unstoppable and will always find a way to reach your goals. So my personal challenge to you is to ask you how you can get more drastic about your resolution. How can you change your mindset to one of " I absolutely must! ".
