Power for You from Life Coaching
You are just a few hours away from tapping into powers within you to increase the level of happiness and success in your life.
What if, out of the blue, you discovered you already have what it takes to get what you want? A wise song taught us “You Can Always Get What You Want.” But, perhaps that song is wrong!
Just when I needed it the very most, I discovered built-in mental powers inside of me—inside of all us—that enable us to upgrade our life. No kidding. I found my own mind voice for the very first time in the early 1990s while living at an elevation of 5,280 feet above sea level. No, this was not some “back to nature” discovery excursion to see how higher altitudes feel in the human body. And I did not have the benefit of a life coach in those days.
I couldn’t feel much of anything at all, to be quite honest with you. My mind was filled with “fog” as I called it. Such a short, simple word to describe how I was a complete emotional wreck and I didn’t even try to deny it.
Why? I got out of a bad marriage very quickly. I was let go the very next day from a career job I’d held for nearly a decade. This double-whammy of emotional stress from the end of my marriage and the beginning of my unemployment was not like anything I had ever experienced in my life.
So, I “ran away from home” to Denver, where I felt as if I were in some self-imposed emotional exile. But, when things looked the darkest, I learned about what I call mind voice.
Today, I am a life coach and business coach-consultant. I share this little-known inner power with everyone to prevent others from needlessly suffering emotionally like I did in the early 1990s. This is a simple tactic that uses our subconscious mind—that part of our mind which contains thoughts and memories that we are either unaware of or unable to remember and focus on in a deliberate or conscious way.
The subconscious is one important element of mind that I focus upon in my professional coaching. After getting to understand a person (by talking with them for some length of time) I guide them to create personal statements that are relevant to them and to what they hope to achieve by getting involved in my coaching.
I guide them in their writing these statements. Then, they record the statements using their own voice. The outcome is a digital audio recording (MP3 file.)
The person I am coaching stores their customized MP3 on a device such as a smart phone that they can carry with them anywhere at any time. The person plays back their MP3 into their own ears. This playback is supposed to be a totally private experience. The person should use earbuds or headphones to make sure nobody else will be able to listen in.
This simple tactic of playback of vocalized words and thoughts into your own ears gives you access to your subconscious. This is real. This is not magic. What happens after listening repeatedly is that your subconscious takes in the vocalized words and thoughts and your mind accepts what you heard as true.
Since I followed this exact method, today I honestly can vouch for the validity and impact of the mind voice at least upon me and my life. In Colorado I started changing my reality by changing what I held as thoughts in my mind by using the playback-in-my-own-ears tactic every day to create my mind voice. I am convinced that anybody can do as I did.
Not only did I end the grief I felt after ending my marriage, I also discovered new directions for my life and previously unexplored ways of earning a living to end my unemployment. Even though all this took place back in the 1990s, I can still feel the power of the mind voice today.
