Is it to late to achieve my desired life?

Growing up we have learned so much from our family and schooling. But what we did not learn is how to deal with our emotional experiences, correctly. Through our cultural training, we have learned to behave in a certain way/s and we are conditioned by our environment.
With time, we live a life and play a role of being a person that we are not. We become doctors when we wanted to be an artist. We get married when we wish to live a single life. As the result, we live a life that no longer serves us. We believe that there is no way out and we do not deserve to live the life we have always dreamt of.
With time, this mask becomes a burden to our life and leads to our dissatisfaction in everything we experience. In some cases it evens leads to negative developments such as finding relief in drinking too much or not knowingly hurting the people around us by using hurtful words. Some people run away from it all and live a dysfunctional life and at the end destroy not only their own life but also the ones they love most. Why? Because we think it is too late to make a change and live the life we desire.
In order to live a fulfilled life, we need to release and recognize how we are conditioned. We need to view our past and identify the events that have shaped us and tattoo our subconscious. We need to learn to view our past through new lenses and rewrite our past in order to start a happy future.
