About Me

Simple. Playful. Ever-changing. Natural. Trusting. These 5 words describe me, how I approach my life. I love my work, love art making, and adore the people in my life.

It wasn't always this way. I used to wake up every morning with a pit in my stomach. Not only did I despise my lucrative sales job, I was in a relationship to a man who didn't share my values. I had completely lost track of who I was. My mantra was: "It will all work out". But, truth be told, nothing was working out. Life was unclear, foggy, a struggle. I wasn't happy. I felt stuck.

Then, one day, I was FIRED. THIS didn't line up with the solid Midwestern values my parents raised me with, but I made a definite and bold decision to take the unemployment money, to discover what made my heart sing.

This period was an investment in me. I followed all my whimsies, and started working with therapist. This was the space I needed to review my life history. Whatever seemed foggy before, became crystal clear. This time helped me understand who I was, and I began making decisions to live with purpose.

A year later I was a student at Naropa University, earning my Masters in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Art Therapy. Naropa's blend of Eastern and Western approaches to significantly shaped the approach to my own heart and mind.

Since graduation, I have gained experience as a licensed counselor, art therapist, & coach. I am also trained in EMDR, a powerful modality to change your negative thinking. Personally, I've met someone who shares my values, we have a child, and reap the benefits of living in a small mountain town. Plus, I get to make art everyday.

I am taking full responsibility for creating a life I want to live, and I am passionate about helping you do the same. You will learn the techniques, tools, methods, and mindsets that have helped me get here.
