Sharing how I changed my life from an overworked interior designer to owning a business.

For nearly a decade, I was an interior designer working for some of the top hospitality design firms. I designed 5-star hotels, high-end residents and shopping malls all over the world. I had worked so hard to have a creative career, and I thought it would bring me the lifestyle that I wanted. I was wrong.
I was not appreciated and valued for my efforts. While working long 80-hour weeks for salaries that were not commensurate with my experience, I started to realize how much of life I was missing out on. I had the feeling that if I continued this way, I would one day be old and not have had the time to enjoy the beauty life has to offer. I knew continuing in this industry would not sustain me. I told myself I would not get another job where I was overworked and underpaid. After many sleepless nights with the fear of uncertainty, I knew I had to change if I wanted more enjoyment out of life, so I started on my soul- searching journey.
On this path of new growth, I realized that when I help someone to feel better or help them to resolve an issue, I light up. These feelings of accomplishment by being of service are much more fulfilling than the feelings I had when completing a hotel project. I uncovered new insights about myself: how much connection with people means to me, how much I value freedom, and how much I had been undervaluing myself. As I started to connect with what truly matters to me, I finally discovered my true gifts and talents that serve my life purpose. So, I launched my coaching business focused on making positive an impact directly on people’s lives.
My life has been completely transformed and I feel more alive than ever before. I am determined to help others find their life purpose too. I know how good we feel when we are living on purpose and have a direction to aim for. We no longer are lost in the massive ocean but are making conscious efforts in sailing towards the beautiful land we see ahead.
