End Your Fear of Love

Everyone needs a friend, a companion. Even God said, "it is not good that man should be alone"
As I sit here and read some of these Facebook post, I realize how much hurt, anger, loneliness and despair there is, but mostly, loneliness. Bottom line, no matter how strong we are, Everyone needs a friend, a companion. Even God said, “it is not good that man should be alone”
We are connected to one another, we all see each other’s loneliness, but fear of rejection, fear of imposing or fear that our own loneliness might show, stops us from approaching one another. Well God has something to say about that too. “he has Not given us a spirit of fear, but of a power, LOVE and a sound mind” For a long time I loved quoting this because of the “power” and “sound mind” but never really understood the “love” part until recently. I realize that God put that word there because one of our biggest fear is to LOVE someone. We fear falling in love because we fear getting hurt. So we build huge walls and vow not to let anyone in. The injustice we do to ourselves and the one waiting to be loved.
The greatest commandment “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself."
“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love”
For those who think they can go through life without love:
God made a big deal about “Love” .. Love your God, family, friends, neighbor, and even your enemies oh yes.. and made a point of saying right in the beginning “No, I do not think is good for you to be alone either, to go through your life without a companion”
So look around, there are plenty of people waiting to be loved. Leave your fear behind and make a new friend.
