You Are Who God Says You Are

If we always listen to what others tell us, the media, the enemy, or even ourselves; we often are going to hear things that are just NOT true.
I believe one of the biggest stumbling blocks for women entrepreneurs is how we think about ourselves. We tend to think not so good thoughts and we allow the wrong influences into our hearts and minds to cloud our thinking.
If we always listen to what others tell us, the media, the enemy, or even ourselves; we often are going to hear things that are just NOT true. We need to be very aware of our thoughts, where they come from, and how they affect every aspect of our lives.
This scripture below is so powerful because IF we could really think on these things we would be even more awesome!
Philippians 4:8 Finally, sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
The first time I heard these power words I AM WHO GOD SAYS I AM was from one of my favorite pastors; Pastor Bagwell at Word of Life Church. The short season that I was in that church I grew in my faith exponentially and it actually set the foundation for my entire journey. I was a new believer at the time and that type of teaching was exactly what I needed. I was given then a clue about the power of what I think and how what I should think is biblically based.
One of the most powerful things that you can believe is that YOU ARE WHO GOD SAYS YOU ARE. These simple words actually saved my life in my darkest longest season I’ve ever encountered. Whenever I caught myself thinking a negative thought about myself I simply said: I AM WHO GOD SAYS I AM and my entire out looked changed. It didn’t change the fact that I was homeless, in a foreign country, with all my stuff packed in boxes scattered in different people’s homes, and alone. (More on this in the Ten Essentials)
No matter what you are going through, been through, or what is yet to come if you remember these words they will keep you going too. The reason these words are so powerful is because there are many verses in the bible back this statement up about who WE REALLY ARE. Anything but what is in the Word or what God says is a lie from the enemy (dirtbag). Regardless of whom it comes from if it doesn’t line up with the word of God it simply IS NOT TRUE.
When you start to think things like:
• I’m such a loser
• I’m not good at anything
• I’m an awful friend
• I’m not worthy
• I’m ugly
• I could never be an entrepreneur
• God doesn’t love me
• Etc.etc.etc….
Remember this one verse 1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
Our talk about ourselves should always rise to the level of the word of God. In other words what other people say or think about us really isn’t all that important. Whenever we are around people they are going to say things that are hurtful, (intentional and unintentional). When people say hurtful things remember these power words: I AM WHO GOD SAYS I AM.
