What Are The Things In Your Business Life That You HAVE But Don't WANT?
We all have things in our business life we want but don't have. But what are you tolerating in your business life that should be removed?
We all have things we want for our business or want in our business or business life – a type or number of clients, a revenue goal, a profit goal, equipment, capable and accountable employees, smooth processes, or the ability to take time off. Anything we want – you want – has activities we need to do to gain these things. I’d like to turn the thought of what you want and what you need to do on its head by asking, what do you HAVE in your business or business life that you DON’T want? Alternatively, what is it you shouldn’t be doing?
I encourage you to think about things, employees, clients, vendors or activities in your business or business life that needlessly cost time and money. How about things in your business that reduce profits, cause stress and frustration, activities you really dislike, situations that make you feel trapped in your business, or anything else that causes dysfunction, lack of performance or damages your experience of your business? What are you tolerating that you shouldn’t be? We all have things we are tolerating in our life and business that aren’t positive and cost us time, energy, motivation and money. Consider things you once did but no longer need to do any longer, things that are comfortable but waste your time and should be delegated or eliminated, clients that are stressful or unprofitable, too many clients that have made your business too complex, unproductive employees or employees that are in the wrong job, suppliers and contractors that don’t perform, the list goes on.
Every item listed above and many not listed cost you time, money, and suck energy and enjoyment from your life. So, what are the things in your business or business life that you’d be better off without?
