Why is hypnotherapy a powerful modality for making positive change?

Hypnotherapy is the use of hypnosis for a therapeutic aim. It is a powerful way to explore, identify, experience and reinforce positive change.
Hypnosis is a trance state, and like any trance state that we all frequently experience in our day to day lives to varying degrees, it is the focusing of attention and the experience of narrowing our point of experience. The experience can be both deeply relaxing and also intensely absorbing. The unconscious is also more available and can be accessed, bringing greater clarity and insights that may not usually be available through the conscious mind.
One of the significant benefits that naturally occurs when we are in this trance state is a high receptivity for processing information and learning new behaviours. So when I work with clients I will use hypnotherapy to support the goals we are working towards to bring about positive change.
This often involves guiding the client to have wonderful positive experiences of what it will be like when they have succeeded at achieving their outcomes, using techniques to help them through blocks and challenges and also to revisit and heal past events or experiences where limiting beliefs or patterns were unintentionally created.
