Do you have a gap year in your CV?

A gap year is a taboo question for this part of the world.
Do you have a gap year in your education? Umm…that’s a taboo question for this part of the world, isn’t it? I, however, went ahead and took one.
I scored 98% in Maths in my board exams & it seems like an exciting choice!
But I couldn’t fall in love with my Maths honours and was missing geometry, self-expression for my artistic acumen.
Since I went to one of the reputed Universities, it was a difficult time for my parents to allow me to take a year off a prepare for Architecture!
I clearly remember that year was the one like 2020, zero social interaction surrounded by study-materials to prepare for B.Arch.
This is not very uncommon in India as many students do while preparing for civil service and engineering exams but not many to choose a not-so-popular career .
Well when the results came out for the state engineering exam I got into B.Pharm ( to which my well wishers got relieved ) but in next 10 days I gave up B.Pharm to take up B.Arch( the first one in my family)
After 2 decades when I look back, I feel that one year & this decision shaped my life aligned with my dreams.
