Understanding the True Essence of Love in Our Lives
When someone listens to you, it does not mean you own them.
There are a lot of people acting out of fear, and then there are these few people with unconditional love in their hearts who can spend their entire lives giving away their time and efforts to show their love to dear ones through their actions or words. And these are usually our parents who, if they have unconditional love in any form, will forgive anything their children would do or say.
It’s not entirely a healthy way to always be forgiving to a child, giving him the impression that it is alright to do anything he wishes to. This is a recipe for disaster as he grows up.
So when such a person listens to you and always comes back no matter how harsh you are to them, know it deep in your being that such kind of love is the rarest today in this modern world, and you need not make a mockery out of it by taking their presence and actions in your life for granted.
When they won’t be around anymore and if you continue taking such pure-hearted people for granted and keep mistreating them, what you did to them will be a lifelong regret that you will not be able to do much about.
You can only look at them while they are still around as if you have no image of them. By no image, I mean look at them with no memory of all you have built up over the years about that person.
Drop them.
And when you look with a fresh view that is not corrupted by the filters, you are genuinely with that person.
That is the only time you can connect and be with that person here and now to see how much love they have in all the small and big things they do for you.
When you see this kind of love with no boundaries, you are bound to get soaked with love, and then there will finally be a sharing that comes out of love.
