The pandemic is hard. At times it brings out the absolute best in us and at others, our fatigue and weariness show.
Before you allow your feathers to get flustered or your beak to bark, we invite you in this Act of Kindness to take a deep breath. Studies show that doing so enables more air to flow into our bodies and can help calm our nerves, thereby reducing stress and anxiety.
This can be as simple as pausing before reacting or responding, filling our lungs with a deep breath and then proceeding. It can also be downloading an app like Calm, Mindshift or Headspace and adding breathing into our days.
Today, we invite you to pause and breathe deeply throughout your day. It is not only kind to yourself but will likely affect how kindly you interact with the world around you.
