To our Coaches in Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic
In recent weeks, our world has turned upside down and in one way or another, we are feeling the effects of COVID-19. As you know, large numbers of people have and will continue to be laid off, business owners have and will continue to close shop, and priorities have and will continue to shift to surviving and weathering out this storm. Simply put, this uncertain economic environment will have an impact on the coaching industry. It is not immune. It is in these tough times that we must join together in compassion, empathy, patience, and understanding, so that we can all get through this together.
Here at Noomii, the traffic to our website suddenly dropped by 30% last week and this week we’re looking at a similar reduction. This means fewer leads and less business for our community of coaches at a time when you probably need Noomii the most. Now, more than ever, many of you are looking at Noomii for business opportunities because in-person opportunities have suddenly disappeared as millions of people have been urged to stay home.
While the impact in the short term has been negative, we see the pandemic as an opportunity for us (the coaching community) to serve the broader community with our wisdom and training. And together, we can have a bigger impact than if we go it alone.
In the coming days, we will be developing a plan for how coaches can work with Noomii in a coordinated way to be of assistance to businesses and individuals who need us most.
To give you an example of some of the work we can do together, Noomii hosted an interactive webinar facilitated by two of our coaches Neil Pretty and Jason Eisner (immense thanks to both of them) to assist leaders who were now managing remote teams for the first time. From the moment the idea was conceived, it tooks us less than 72 hours to launch and with barely 24 hours of promotion time, we had over 100 people sign up for the event.
This is just one of the ways that we (Noomii + our coaches) can serve during this time of need.
If you have any specific ideas or suggestions for how we might offer our services to those in need, please leave a comment below or reach out to email@example.com.
In the meantime, while we formulate a plan, we thank each of you for being a valuable part of our community and hope you and your loved ones stay safe and healthy.
